Escape Rooms

Escape rooms are amazing live-action adventures where you go into specially-designed rooms to find clues and solve puzzles to complete a defined objective within a set time limit.  Sometimes this involves working out how to escape from a fictional scenario, but it could also involve a rescue mission, solving a mystery, breaking into a facility, or working out how to complete some other quest or overcome some other challenge.  The focus is on creative thinking and problem-solving in a collaborative manner with the friends, family or colleagues in your team. Techniques borrowed from the theatre are used to style the room and provide atmospherics to match the theme of its story - it might look, feel and sound like a jungle, an alien spacecraft or a spooky laboratory!

No, absolutely not. You will never actually be locked into any room or structure at our venue. Anyone in your team can exit straight out the way you entered the room at any time and for any reason, whether it's because they need a toilet break, have to take a phone call, are feeling unwell, need a drink, or just want a break from the game.  As well as wanting to maintain comfort levels for our customers at all times, this is a legal requirement to ensure that everyone can safely and independently evacuate in case of an emergency. While exiting in this manner doesn't count as completing the adventure, your team will never be penalised in terms of gameplay or completion time because someone left the room.

Our Escape Rooms are designed as a mental challenge rather than a physical one,  so you don't need to be be an athlete or gym junkie to participate (though we love athletes and gym junkies too!).  There is no running, jumping or extreme body movement required to complete our rooms, though some games do require at least one player to bend, crouch, clamber over or crawl under small obstacles, or pass through narrow tunnels.  If this is required it will be detailed on the game's information page.

We do our best to make our Escape Rooms as accessible as possible, however they are all uniquely designed and constructed so we detail any factors that may limit accessibility on the information page for each game. All ages are welcome to experience our Escape Rooms and children 6 years and under play for free!  We require at least one adult to be in the room with teams of children (1 adult with up to 6 children over 6 years old or 4 children under 6 years old).

We provide a briefing at the beginning of your session and you'll have a dedicated Game Master supporting you throughout your experience. There are systems set up in each room for your team to ask for hints or other assistance, and you can ask for as many hints as you like with no penalties. No previous gaming experience or special knowledge is necessary to solve our puzzles.

Because you will be physically moving around our game rooms, including bending, crouching, reaching and moving objects, we recommend that you wear comfortable clothing that's not restrictive or with lots of dangling parts.  High-heeled shoes and thongs (flip-flops) are not advisable. If you wear prescription glasses of any type then you should wear them or bring them along. There is no need for you to bring torches, pencils and paper or anything else - we will supply any equipment your group needs to complete our experiences.

Most of our experiences have up to 60 minutes of game time and there are a couple of shorter experiences that are up to 30 minutes long (this is noted in the game information). We allow 15 minutes before your game for toilet stops, safety briefing, and game introduction, and another 5 to 10 minutes at the end to take team photos, gather your things and marvel at your experience!  So the standard time on-site is around 90 minutes for most games, or 60 minutes for the shorter experiences.  Because we run game sessions back-to-back all day, we need people to arrive on time. If you are late for your session, we may have to reduce your game time to ensure that you don't cut into the next booked session.

Well, we don't want to give away any spoilers, but we think our escape games are AMAZING!  We have a range of different themes, cool atmospherics in most rooms, and some interesting secret compartments that will hopefully surprise and delight you.  A couple of our rooms are long and narrow, but the rest are at least the size of a small office, and some are MUCH larger!

We use a combination of physical and electronic puzzles, obstacles and special effects to give you a diverse and immersive experience.  All of our games are built around strong story lines, and several have multiple endings driven by the choices you make during your game.

All of our Escape Rooms have CCTV cameras set up so our Game Masters can track your progress, provide support as needed, and ensure that you have an unforgettable experience.

We have a booking minimum of 2 players for our Escape Rooms to ensure we can cover costs, and each game can generally fit up to 8 players comfortably. Any variations to this is listed on each game's information page. If you have a larger group, please call to book multilpe rooms for the one session, noting that the games will run independently for each booked room (ie players in one room won't be able to see or interact with players in the other room).  Alternatively, you could book back-to-back sessions for one game and discuss your successes and failures with your friends in our lobby after everyone is finished.

We wipe down all game equipment and high touch-point surfaces in the game rooms between each session. Floors are vacuumed and/ or mopped at the end of each day.  We have HEPA filters installed in our air-conditioning system, and anti-bacterial hand-cleaning stations are available in our lobby.

We VERY, VERY, VERY strongly recommend booking, as we roster staff based on confirmed bookings for each day. We may open late/ close early if there are no bookings, so cannot guarantee that anyone will be on-site to serve walk-in customers.  You can book online up to 4 hours before an available session starts; for lead-in times shorter than 4 hours please call to see if we can fit you in.
