Quest Boxes

Quest boxes are complete adventures packaged into a set of movable objects. This might take the form of a mysterious cube, a collection of treasure chests, or a scale model of a castle or temple.  With all the puzzles and clues built in, you'll have a fantastic time figuring out how to open each compartment, exploring all of the items therein, and piecing everything together to complete your quest!

Our Quest Boxes have simple storylines and slower-paced timelines, providing a longer problem-solving experience for lovers of puzzles.

The focus with our Quest Boxes is on creative thinking and problem-solving rather than physical action. The kits are designed for gentle handling, so forceful actions and wild movements are NOT required.  The Quest Boxes are positioned to be at a comfortable height for seated players, including people using wheelchairs.  These experiences are fully accessible for all abilities, with gentle lighting and a quiet soundtrack providing a calm background atmosphere.

While all ages and abilities are welcome to experience our Quest Boxes, you'll have to be a puzzle fanatic to get through these challenges! Younger children may find it hard to stay focused because of the longer game session.  Where children do play, we require at least one adult to be in the room with them at all times.

We provide a briefing at the beginning of your session and you'll have a dedicated Game Master supporting you throughout your experience, with the ability to provide additional hints or other assistance as required. No previous gaming experience or special knowledge is necessary to enjoy our Quest Boxes, but you'll need to love doing puzzles!

Each of our Quest Boxes provide up to 90 minutes of game time. We allow 10 minutes before your game for a briefing and game introduction, and another 5 to 10 minutes at the end to take team photos, gather your things and marvel at your experience!  So the standard time on-site is around 2 hours.  Because we run game sessions back-to-back all day, we need people to arrive on time. If you are late for your session, we may have to reduce your game time to ensure that you don't cut into the next booked session.

Part of the fun with Quest Boxes is discovering all their small details and secrets, so we won't reveal too much about them here!  We can say that our collection has been sourced from the best suppliers around the world, and spans a range of themes to suit different interests.

Different Quest Boxes have different combinations of physical and electronic puzzles and special effects - some are fully physical, others are fully electronic, and most have a bit of both.  Some kits have multiple endings driven by the choices you make during your game.

All of our Quest Box rooms have CCTV cameras set up so our Game Masters can track your progress, provide support as needed, and ensure that you have an unforgettable experience.

We have a booking minimum of 2 players for our Quest Boxes to ensure we can cover costs.  Each game has a recommended maximum number of players, but there is some flexibility around this, noting that the more players there are in the room, the less each person will get to do.

If you have a larger group, please call to book multiple rooms for the one session, noting that the games will run independently for each booked room (ie players in one room won't be able to see or interact with players in the other room).  Alternatively, you could book back-to-back sessions for one game and discuss your successes and failures with your friends in our lobby after everyone is finished.

We are building our collection of Quest Boxes over time.  After each game has been playable at our venue for a period of time, we cycle it out into a pool of Quest Boxes available for hire by individuals and organisations to use in their own venue.

Currently we don't have any Quest Boxes available for hire, but check back regularly as this will change over time.

We wipe down all game equipment and high touch-point surfaces in the game rooms between each session. Floors are vacuumed and/ or mopped at the end of each day.  We have HEPA filters installed in our air-conditioning system, and anti-bacterial hand-cleaning stations are available in our lobby.

We VERY, VERY, VERY strongly recommend booking, as we roster staff based on confirmed bookings for each day. We may open late/ close early if there are no bookings, so cannot guarantee that anyone will be on-site to serve walk-in customers.  You can book online up to 4 hours before an available session starts; for lead-in times shorter than 4 hours please call to see if we can fit you in.
